Global Sustainability Director
Malvern Panalytical has recently started its sustainability journey and has serious ambitions for the future, reaching NetZero in its own operations by 2030 and across its value chain by 2040.
The Global Sustainability Director will be responsible for creating the sustainability roadmap and driving its execution. As such, this is a key and impactful role for the organisation. To ensure that this person succeeds, there is a high degree of commitment to sustainability within the organisation, with full support from the Executive Team.
What you will be doing:
Take the role as a passionate and pragmatic sustainability leader that will make an impact across Malvern Panalytical globally.
Develop the sustainability strategy and roadmap and oversee its execution.
Lead the cross-functional Sustainability Steering Group and coordinate activities of the local Green Teams.
Be the subject matter expert and internal consultant on everything sustainability and ESG, successfully engaging and influencing all stakeholders across the global organisation to drive the transformation process.
Oversee and manage the ESG auditing and reporting processes.
Position Malvern Panalytical externally as a leading partner in the field of sustainability and ESG.
Who you are and what you have:
Deep knowledge of ESG/sustainability and proven experience in the field, especially in the "E" of ESG (Emission management, Carbon Footprinting, etc).
A proven track record in creating a sustainability strategy from scratch and successfully executing it in a complex international environment.
Experience in leveraging a sustainability strategy into concrete business results.
A highly organised and results-oriented attitude combined with broad business and technological sense, to integrate metrics on ESG performance into existing company structures.
Experience with working in an international and matrix environment, fluency in English and ideally one other European language.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Finally, you have a true passion for sustainability and circularity.
This role includes travel (on average 20% of the time) and is based in Almelo.
