Removall Carbon is a Paris-based firm that specialises in impact carbon finance services, enabling organisations to achieve ambitious climate goals, while developing and structuring collaborative and tailored carbon funds and implementing rigorous and ambitious carbon offset programs.

The organisation brings deep knowledge of carbon offsetting projects and mechanisms, coupled with a strong experience in financing ecological transition projects. The team strives daily to push the market towards greater impact and transparency by only supporting projects that have real, measurable co-benefits and equitable profit-sharing.

As the Head of Carbon Offset Partnerships, you will report to the CEO and manage the carbon offset team, responsible for sourcing and contracting the origination of credits. Based in Paris, you will be enriching the networks of project developers, performing strong due diligence on identified projects and participating in contracting with partners and suppliers for the procurement of the credits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and reinforce the network of carbon offset project developers and suppliers.

  • Coordinate the sourcing of carbon offsetting projects, scouting opportunities and partnerships.

  • Perform risk analysis and due diligence process on identified carbon offset projects.

  • Lead commercial and financial negotiations with project developers.

  • Conduct contracting with partners and suppliers to secure long-term supply of high-quality carbon credits.

  • Ensure strong monitoring of supported projects, through remote due diligence and on-site audits.

  • Attend international conferences and relevant events.

  • Manage the carbon offset team within the Carbon Department.

  • Support in hiring, upskilling, and training the team.

Key Experience:

  • Advanced university degree in international business, economics, finance, engineering, or similar.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience on the voluntary carbon market, within an organisation specialised in carbon offsetting (carbon developer, environmental consultancy, brokerage, or trading).

  • Strong knowledge of carbon offsetting mechanisms and project types.

  • Outstanding knowledge of the project developers and supplier's ecosystem.

  • Good management skills and strong experience in leading teams.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Dynamic and committed personality, creative and proactive.

  • Fluency in French and English is required, additional foreign language is a plus.
