Are you skilled in the intricacies of technical strategy and experienced in crafting and implementing net-zero strategies, particularly focusing on Scope 3 emissions on a global scale? Do you want to be at the forefront of an organisation's sustainability journey, who is committed to playing an active part in addressing the issues of climate change?
Acre has partnered with Charles Russell Speechlys, a reputable international law firm with a focus on private capital at the intersection of personal, family and business. Headquartered in London, with offices spanning the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, it serves a global client base. Charles Russell Speechlys recognises that environmental performance is critical to the successful operation of their firm, and as a responsible business, their strategy spans across three main pillars: Social Impact, DEI and Environment.
In this newly created role, you will be the resident expert playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing our environmental strategy, with a keen focus on achieving net-zero emissions. With successes in reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in line with the Paris Agreement, the business is now looking to address Scope 3 and Scope 4 emissions.

In this role, you'll:
Work to align Charles Russell Speechlys' near-term net-zero target with industry standards and develop long-term emissions reduction targets and pathways.
Expand our sustainability targets globally, collaborating with international colleagues to develop tailored emissions reduction strategies.
Develop a strategic Net-Zero Transition Plan for the firm, including a comprehensive risk and opportunities assessment.
Lead the development of strategies to offset the firm's residual GHG emissions in line with industry best practices.
As you grow into the role of Head of Environmental Sustainability, you'll also have the opportunity to provide guidance and training to clients across various sectors, helping them navigate their own sustainability journeys.
To be successful in this role you will have:
The ability to influence decision-making at a senior level and drive strategy and policy.
A strategic mind-set, self-motivated, and comfortable leading environmental initiatives.
Strong practical experience in net-zero initiatives, environmental sustainability, and stakeholder engagement, with a knack for delivering effective reporting and training programs.
This role offers a hybrid work model, with staff required into the offices 60/40 split.
