Acre has been retained by a global energy commodities client to support the building of a new state-of-the-art Renewables Division in North America. Our client currently operates hundreds of assets around the world and recently entered a multi-billion-dollar deal with one of the world's largest private equity firms to transition their portfolio to low-carbon and renewable technologies.
Reporting to the Head of North America, the Head of Grid Integration & Engineering will be responsible for supporting the growth of a diverse and large operating portfolio of renewable energy assets, alongside strategically building a team of grid integration and development engineering professionals.
Provided with significant capital and support to grow the business, this role will be responsible for onboarding multiple GWs of operational assets by 2029, accompanied by a development pipeline exceeding 10GW.
Key Success Criteria:
Minimum of 10 years experience in grid integration activities (Transmission, Generator Interconnection, Market Fundamentals, Energy Engineering) within utility-scale renewable energy
Clear track record of strategically advancing low-carbon assets at both the project and portfolio level
Strong network and comfortability interfacing within the ISO/RTO, IPP, and general utilities industries
Clear track record of recruiting, developing, and managing complex engineering teams
