Head of Grid Integration & Engineering

Acre has been retained by a global energy commodities client to support the building of a new state-of-the-art Renewables Division in North America. Our client currently operates hundreds of assets around the world and recently entered a multi-billion-dollar deal with one of the world's largest private equity firms to transition their portfolio to low-carbon and renewable technologies.

Reporting to the Head of North America, the Head of Grid Integration & Engineering will be responsible for supporting the growth of a diverse and large operating portfolio of renewable energy assets, alongside strategically building a team of grid integration and development engineering professionals.

​

Provided with significant capital and support to grow the business, this role will be responsible for onboarding multiple GWs of operational assets by 2029, accompanied by a development pipeline exceeding 10GW.

Key Success Criteria:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in grid integration activities (Transmission, Generator Interconnection, Market Fundamentals, Energy Engineering) within utility-scale renewable energy

• Clear track record of strategically advancing low-carbon assets at both the project and portfolio level

• Strong network and comfortability interfacing within the ISO/RTO, IPP, and general utilities industries

• Clear track record of recruiting, developing, and managing complex engineering teams
