Acre is supporting a US-based impact investment fund as it seeks to hire a newly created Head of Investor Relations position based in Europe. The fund is closing the credit gap in emerging markets through its microfinance platform, and the Head of Investor Relations will be a key member of the fund's Management Team set to execute a global strategy aiming to support over $1bn USD in loans in the next 5 years.

Location: Europe (remote)

The hire will report to the CEO to be responsible for the build-out of the business development and investor relations function during a period of exciting expansion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the fundraising efforts to grow the business by developing and managing strategic partnerships harnessing relevant market data. You will be a key spokesperson in client meetings, events and industry conferences.

  • Lead all the investor relations activities defining messages, channels and frequency. You will have oversight of all due diligence and communications materials such as: RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, investor letters, presentations and ad hoc requests with support from the Investment and Finance Teams.

  • Develop the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan.

  • Build out the fundraising function; design processes, future strategy and organisational structure to help the company succeed in its mission and future objectives. This includes management of the fundraising budget.

Experience Sought:

  • Demonstrable experience working in a fundraising role in the impact investment industry or in a financial services firm with direct exposure to investors.

  • Proven network among small and mid-sized institutional investors, impact investors and family offices in Europe.

  • Sound knowledge of private debt, preferably in emerging markets.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, proactively and in a fast-paced environment.
