Acre are excited to be working with Ahold Delhaize to source a new Health and Sustainability Business and Innovation Partner, reporting directly into the VP of Sustainable Retailing and into the CEO of Europe & Indonesia.
This brand-new position will accelerate the health and sustainability agenda for household brands such as Albert Heijn, AB Vassilopoulos, Delhaize, Maxi and Mega Image across Europe and Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide functional and professional leadership on health & sustainability in Europe and Indonesia. Champion the agenda with the Brand Presidents and ensure brand plans are integrated and aligned with the global/EU & Indonesian roadmap
Develop cross-brand collaborations to share best practices and scale up innovative solutions in Europe and Indonesia.
Build visibility of Ahold Delhaize's health and sustainability ambitions and performance, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally
The successful candidate will bring senior leadership and a humble approach to Ahold Delhaize, with the confidence to question and challenge the status quo, listen to diverse perspectives and embed constructive feedback.
Key Requirements:
Significant experience in health and sustainability for international company. Expert knowledge in and passion for health, sustainability, and food. Demonstrated interest in driving societal impacts through more sustainable business practice
Ability to build strong relationships for the business with NGOs, governmental authorities, and other companies across countries and cultures
Strategic thinking, ability to set ambitious strategic direction for international company, with strong buy-in from leadership across the brand
Excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication skills in English, with the ability to support the CEO in virtual and live speaking engagements on health and sustainability topics
