Interim Head of Health and Safety

Are you a Health and Safety professional with experience in the agricultural industry looking to continue your career on a global scale?

A fresh fruit producer and supplier is seeking a dedicated Head of Health & Safety to lead their global health and safety initiatives. This is a leadership role and using your expertise, you will be getting involved in developing and implementing a comprehensive H&S management system aligned with ISO 45001 standards, promoting a positive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement in risk management across their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and standardizing H&S activities and procedures regionally

• Managing and maintaining ISO 45001 and running the programme globally

• Monitoring and analyzing H&S performance, focusing on improvement areas

• Managing project-specific risk management plans and ensuring compliance with international standards

• Leading continuous improvement efforts through training and preventive measures

• Conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis of incidents

• Providing strategic direction and mentorship to H&S officers, promoting safety awareness

Requirements:

• Proven experience with H&S management systems (ISO 45001 preferred)

• In-depth knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• NEBOSH certificate and experience in a global environment is desirable
