Acre is working with a private-equity fund manager focused on emerging markets infrastructure investments, including transportation, logistics, and renewable energy. Wanting to be an active participant in the low carbon transition, this firm is looking to onboard a Portfolio Analyst with relevant experience within the financial sector to be based in their office in The Hague.

As a Portfolio Analyst, you will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for the data flow and data engine supporting critical information flows. Building best practice reporting and support processes in close cooperation with the investment team and portfolio company board representatives.

You will take an active role in the collection, organisation and transformation of portfolio companies' data into useful outputs used for executive decision-making.

This position is full-time. As they have other offices and a focus on growth markets, you should expect some travel activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up reporting standards for new portfolio companies after taking over to enable future data collection.

  • Collecting monthly and quarterly reports from portfolio companies' financials while pulling out historical data at requests; this includes establishing a database which enables satisfying data requests from management and investors.

  • Supporting and assisting the investment team in the due diligence process.

  • Prepare standard slide outputs for Quarterly Prudential Reporting and valuations that are based on data collection standard reports created for the quarterly review cycle.

  • Maintaining portfolio management frameworks and templates whilst responding to guidance queries, including coordination of Quarterly Prudential Reporting timeline and templates.

  • Delivering ad hoc requests to provide analysis for discussions and presentation materials. Simultaneously, supporting management requests for data analysis.

  • Researching and assisting on Limited Partner Advisory Committee material and the firm's general meeting input preparation.


Your profile:

You are a high performer with a strong analytical mindset. You have a passion for sustainable investments in emerging markets and have strong business acumen. You understand that in a small team, you roll up your sleeves, contribute and support each other to get jobs done.


You also bring:

  • Advanced university degree in economics, finance or similar.

  • Over 2 years of experience in a financial reporting function in private equity, pension fund, investment banking, or consulting.

  • Analytical, systematic, thorough, and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong Excel modelling ability is required.

  • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage short deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.

  • Fluency in English is required both verbally and in writing. Additional language skills are advantageous.
