Our client, with assets under management (AuM) exceeding €5.5 billion and a successful track record of over 20 years, is a leading private equity firm dedicated to energy transition and innovation.

This role will be a part of the Sustainable Cities team, dedicated to the financing of real assets contributing to the decarbonisation of cities.

Supporting the growth of developers and operators involved in the eco-friendly transformation of urban construction and mobility. As a Portfolio Manager, you will establish, structure, and develop fund and portfolio management excellence within the Sustainable Cities team.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Company Level:

    • Define and collect financial, operational, and ESG Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to compile comprehensive Fund reports. This involves establishing metrics for Portfolio companies.

    • Actively engage in regular meetings with Portfolio companies.

    • Structure and manage the capital calls of Portfolio companies.

    • Participate in the financing/refinancing activities of Portfolio companies at both the asset and HoldCo level.

Fund Level:

    • Gather, organise, and keep up to date the quarterly reports for the funds, covering financial, operational, and ESG aspects to provide insights into the fund's performance.

    • Manage the structuring and monitoring of capital calls for the fund.

    • Sustain the fund's business plan, which outlines its objectives, strategies, and financial projections.

    • Coordinate the valuation process for PortCos.

Key Requirements

  • University degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

  • 3 -5 years of experience in financial analysis, data collection and report preparation both in non-financial and financial disclosures in the real assets sector, gained either in industry, audit services, consultancy, or a finance institution.

  • Good understanding of the energy transition and implications for real assets holdings.

  • Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in financial analysis, valuation, and investment appraisal.

  • Ability to critically gather and analyse data, draw meaningful insights, and make informed investment decisions.

  • Strong excel modelling ability is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results and meeting deadlines.

  • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and risk management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a lean, dedicated, and highly motivated team.

  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English. Another European language is a plus.
