Acre has partnered with a global energy giant to recruit a Project Director who can help transition legacy energy assets across North America through the deployment of CCUS technologies. Our client operates hundreds of assets around the world and recently entered a multi-billion-dollar deal with one of the world's largest private equity firms to transition their portfolio to low-carbon and renewable technologies.

Reporting to the global project executive in Europe, the Project Director will establish a domestic projects team and will be responsible for assessing and selecting domestic EPC partners. The Project Director will lead technology selection internally as well as the design, construction & commissioning of new CCUS deployments across North America.

Key Success Criteria:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering. An advanced level technical qualification would be preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in project development, project scoping and project evaluation background in CCUS, Oil & Gas, petrochemical industries or similar energy solutions. Ideally underpinned by specific project management qualifications.

  • Strong understanding of the techno-economic landscape for CCUS and comparable/competing technologies, sufficient enough to be a regional technical lead for these solutions.

  • Strong fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus.

With access to new lines of capital this organization is aiming to greatly expand their North American portfolio in the next few years - it is an incredibly exciting time to join at a pivotal moment in their growth. This position will operate at a senior level within the US business reporting to the global executive level, and leading high-profile, marquee projects that will make a real impact.

This role can be based remotely US-wide with a strong preference for candidates in Texas or surrounding states. If you're interested in learning more about this role please apply or reach out to our Sustainable Energy & CleanTech group in New York.
