Our client, a Global Investment Management group are seeking a Quantitative Developer to join their Sustainable investing team. The team lead and support the integration of sustainability themes and impact principles across their investment and stewardship teams.

They are looking for someone from a Data Science / Quant Development background with a genuine interest in Sustainability themes to work on analytical solutions that support the integration of ESG data into mainstream investment strategies as well as innovative tools to support specialist sustainable & impact investment teams.

This person work will also provide insights to track and monitor the sustainability commitments of the firm and its investee companies.

Currently the main focus of the role is to develop, enhance, and maintain tools on Biodiversity, Natural Capital, Deforestation Risk.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the ESG integration, data Science and fund management teams globally to execute new solutions on sustainable investing to remain at the forefront of new and emerging topics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance tools by writing high quality codes

  • Working on multiple data science projects with the global teams

  • Implement and research new solutions for the investment, stewardship, client, and business development teams.

  • Bridging the gap between the technical teams and business stakeholders

  • Design tools to monitor impacts of biodiversity, climate change, natural capital on listed companies

  • Work closely with investors to monitor the progress

  • Work on the incorporation of new datasets and integrate into data repository

Key skills:

  • Excellent coding with Python

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

  • Previous experience on building and enhancing large scale systems

  • Ability to translate complex and technical requirements to business stakeholders

  • Industry experience of Financial Services

  • Familiar with the software development life cycle
