Position Summary

The Good Economy (TGE) is looking for an individual to join their dynamic and growing impact advisory business as a Senior Consultant working in the rapidly emerging field of impact investing.

The Senior Consultant will play a key role in managing and delivering TGE's impact services, particularly related to investments in social and affordable housing and real estate.

The role requires some UK travel for clients and site visits.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • This role will have a main focus on housing and real estate with the opportunity to contribute to other areas of TGE's work

  • You will play a key role in managing and delivering impact measurement, management and reporting services for clients seeking to understand, enhance and communicate their positive impact

  • You will act as a key team member with responsibility for specific client projects, delegating appropriately and communicating effectively to achieve results

  • You will primarily work with investor clients, ranging from foundations to commercial investment firms developing impact investment strategies and carrying out impact assessments

  • You will bring knowledge and experience that allows you to act as a trusted and seasoned advisor to their clients in the field of social impact measurement, management and reporting

  • Manage specific client projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality impact advisory services

  • Lead the delivery of impact verification and reporting services, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and drafting of impact reports

  • Prepare and facilitate workshops for clients

  • Provide technical expertise and input in the development of TGE's impact measurement and management services, in line with global best practices and new tools and techniques

  • Contribute to internal strategy discussions and business development

  • Support new business development, including client prospecting and proposal writing

The ideal candidate will have some of the following experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of social housing and/or real estate

  • You will be a good communicator and able to develop collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders within the impact investment and housing/real estate development ecosystem.

  • Knowledge and experience of the field of impact investing and emerging ESG and impact measurement, management and reporting norms and standards, both globally and in the UK

  • Knowledge and experience of research methods, including quantitative and qualitative methods

  • Knowledge and experience of socio-economic impact assessments is desirable

  • Knowledge and interest in sustainable development, ESG and impact investing

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering client projects

  • Strong people skills and ability to communicate effectively with and understand the perspectives of different stakeholder groups in the private, public and social sectors

  • Confident taking responsibility for drawing sound conclusions from complex information

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including data analysis

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesise information and write clearly and concisely, with some proven experience of report writing

  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail
