As lululemon's Senior Director, Responsible Supply Chain, in the Sustainable Business & Impact team, you will support a global and regional team to safeguard the human rights and wellbeing of the people who make their products and reduce environmental impacts within their manufacturing base. In this role, you will build their brand credibility and business continuity.

A day in the life: what you'll do

Reporting to the SVP, Sustainable Business and Impact, you will lead the Global Responsible Supply Chain function. This role will be responsible for designing strategy and evolving the responsible supply chain approach. You will be responsible for accelerating integration and impact by designing and executing industry-leading human rights, labour, vendor environmental programs and approaches to meet enterprise goals across the global supply chain.

  • Lead enterprise responsible supply chain strategy in partnership with cross-functional leaders

  • Design strategies, policies, programs and roadmaps that achieve and evolve lululemon's Impact Agenda and business growth plans, to manage risk and ensure their supply chain leadership

  • Oversee delivery of human rights and environmental due diligence within lululemon's supply chain and manufacturing and of responsible purchasing practices, roadmaps, tools and incentives in supply chain, in close collaboration with internal partners, advancing functional ownership

  • Lead and evolve the RSC management system (e.g. risk assessment, policies and standards, metrics, systems and tools) with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Oversee design and delivery of lululemon's manufacturing RSC monitoring program, vendor environmental program, including energy, water and carbon, and global and regional programming to address critical issues in line with Impact Agenda priorities

  • Build and manage relationships with critical external stakeholders to advance impact and issues management, as appropriate

  • Lead Responsible Supply Chain Steering Committee to drive cross-functional accountabilities, strategy creation, and decision-making among key VP+ leaders

  • Supports response, action plan, and execution for high-profile crisis management in partnership with SVP and critical key leaders

  • Drives synergies, improved processes, and governance between environmental and social supply chain work to support efficiency during periods of high growth

  • Provide content, information and substantiate facts for ESG, external and internal engagement, including performance reporting, public reporting, investors and other internal and external stakeholders

  • Engage with external partners and represent the work to key audiences, as appropriate

  • Mentor, manage and build an engaged and high-performing remote global team of skilled professionals, including direct and indirect reports.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in business, sustainability, science, law, supply chain, risk management and/or related fields. Sustainability and responsibility management certifications are beneficial.

  • 15-20 years of related professional experience with a significant team and budget at a global matrixed publicly traded brand and/or retailer

  • 10-15+ years of related work experience in environmental and social sustainability, supply chain, risk management, management systems, business resilience, standards and regulatory compliance, partnerships - including demonstrated experience in building and managing responsibility and sustainability systems and processes

  • Experience in managing complex issues, experience in supply chain;

  • 10+ years of experience leading teams. International experience working with diverse, multi-cultural team is required

  • Demonstrated trust, partnership, change management and stakeholder engagement internally and externally

  • Exceptional interpersonal, particularly ability to influence others;

  • Demonstrated leadership to accelerate the implementation of strategies and programs to achieve company goals

  • Highly organized, strong negotiation skills, as well as systemic and technical problem-solving skills

  • Must be a team player able to comfortably and effectively work within matrixed organizations

  • Maintain an external and internal facing mindset, including staying on top of changing landscapes and geo-political trends

  • Must be able to travel internationally as required
