Acre has partnered with an energy SaaS startup that is revolutionizing the way commercial and industrial businesses reduce energy costs and enhance resilience. Through their highly engineered software platform, they educate C&I businesses (Fortune 500 to small shops) on all available energy technologies and advise them on what solutions work best to suit that individual business's needs. With access to their robust supplier marketplace, C&I businesses can release RFPs and be on the receiving end of a diverse set of proposals from the world's leading energy technology suppliers, ultimately empowering them to obtain the best non-biased solution that suits their specific needs.

The company recently secured continued funding from world-leading investors and is scaling quickly. They need a Senior Energy Systems Analyst to come in and help advise their customers on the techno-economic tradeoffs pertaining to various design decisions. This position will be fully remote, with a preference for candidates on the West Coast (PST timezone).

You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the business development and engineering teams on a daily basis to understand and translate customer requirements (e.g. cost reduction, emissions reduction, resiliency, etc.)

  • Understanding and modeling customers modelling parameters and data, tariff structures, energy systems finance

  • Developing techno-economic analysis' and creating business cases to present to customers and leadership

  • Collaborating with engineering teams to develop and enhance new and existing platform features pertaining to energy modeling, equipment sizing and selection, etc.

You will have:

  • A B.S. in a technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred) with ideally 2-5+ years experience evaluating distributed energy resource ( DER ) systems, microgrids, wind, solar, energy storage, etc.

  • Expertise in digesting utility tariffs and translating their effects on C&I energy economics

  • Experience working with energy modelling tools like Xendee, Homer, etc.

  • An appetite for challenging work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
