Acre has partnered with a rapidly growing startup who has developed a novel hydrogen production technology yielding 80% carbon emission reduction in comparison to electrolysis processes. They have developed an electrochemical process technology that very efficiently converts various waste feedstocks into hydrogen and other useful chemicals, and are gaining immense traction globally.

Their VP of Engineering is looking for their next direct report, an expert in process controls. Based in Houston, TX, the Senior Process Controls Engineer (can be up to Director level) will be responsible for developing their commercial control system package and function as the company SME on all matters pertaining to Process Controls. They have a small team, so there will also be opportunity to wear different hats and contribute outside of process control domains.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering with 5-20+ years of industry experience across the full project lifecycle (concept through commissioning) as a process control engineer/process controls leader.

  • Expertise with PLC, DCS, HMI design and control logic

  • Expertise with one of the following: Hydrogen, syngas, air separation, gas separation, CO2 capture, ammonia, methanol, etc.

  • Experience running process simulations (Aspen Plus) and experience implementing cybersecurity measures is a plus
