Schneider Sustainability Business (SB) offers solutions to managing and optimizing corporates' energy supply and purchasing strategies. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with the Client Development team, as well as the Operations teams, to understand the needs and objectives of customers and then translate those needs to the solutions provided by the delivery team, ultimately enabling the company to acquire new clients and exceed revenue targets while ensuring client satisfaction.
The Solutions Architect becomes involved with key sales opportunities as directed by their manager and other key members of the Client Development group.
This position works in a matrixed reporting environment, with a direct reporting line to the Director of Client Development and dotted line responsibility to SB Operations leadership. This position can be based out of any Schneider office in Europe.
What do you get to do in this position?
Provide depth and credibility to customer engagements by providing in-depth technical knowledge of the SB domain and services, with a focus on renewables and cleantech. This includes the convergence of green/renewable energy with the traditional grid supply of energy.
Respond to functional/technical elements of RFI's/RFP, guiding client development resources in the preparation of industry-leading content.
Demonstrate the value of Schneider services and help position accordingly through a written and verbal presentation.
Liaise with Operations and Client Delivery teams to craft custom client-facing sales materials as needed
Consistently support sales teams at key, defined points in the sales process.
Support the Client Development team in preparation for and during client calls to ensure optimal documentation and understanding of client needs and follow-ups
Assist in the customization of proposals and scopes of work based on unique client needs
Convey customer requirements to business leadership, ensuring that SB integrated supply services and offerings remain fresh and aligned with evolving marketplace needs.
Develop and maintain a robust understanding of customer expectations and competitor capabilities and translate those for SB leadership to ensure ongoing competitiveness and success of services.
Collaborate with SB supply and renewables team members to foster service innovation; package, communicate, and position these services within the global organization to accelerate sales of new services.
Support the Client Development team on client-specific proposal generation / RFP responses
Be willing and able to support specific projects as needed.
Accompany sales team on key sales engagements as required - travel throughout the sales territory may be required.

Proficient experience with MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint) and/or other visualization software
Experience navigating organizations and an understanding of SB supply and renewables staff/solutions
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
Travel required to support sales activity (10- 30%)
