Are you a sustainability professional frustrated at the lack of investment in your organisation?

Acre is excited to be partnered with one of the top 15 property consultancies at the forefront of two of the most dynamic real estate markets in the UK: the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and the emerging field of Natural Capital, as they continue to grow their Energy and sustainability team.

In this newly created role, they are looking for a Sustainability Manager to partner with globally recognised education and scientific facilities to lead and change with exemplar net zero projects.

Your main duties will include, but are not subject to:

  • Partner with clients on leading real estate projects and assets to provide strategic advice on market-leading major projects, sustainability, and energy plans.

  • Make key recommendations regarding passive design, energy efficiency and approach to low carbon development following the 'Energy Hierarchy' and 'Cooling Hierarchy'.

  • Setting up and managing ongoing data and reporting processes to support the efficient collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data, including measuring progress against specific targets.

  • Undertake surveys and deliver sustainability services of a technical nature; BMS optimisation, Fault Detection Diagnostics, Energy Audits, Net Zero Carbon Audits.

This role is well suited to you if you're a sustainability professional looking to drive change and make a lasting impact in the property sector. You are the ideal candidate if you have experience delivering leading net zero commercial newbuilds targeting challenging sustainability targets to their best ability to assess risks, realise opportunities and identify the best pathway to enable them to achieve these goals. You will also have a combination of the following:

  • Advise, lead, and influence large teams to achieve great outcomes for complex projects.

  • Experience in building certification schemes such as BREEAM, WELL, WIRED and Passivhaus

  • Knowledge of the Design for Performance NABERS UK process

  • Knowledge of construction carbon reporting, SBTIs, RICS and whole-life carbon assessment

  • Experience in completing submissions to ESG benchmarks, such as CDP, DJSI, GRESB & LETI.
