As Sustainability Sales Manager, you will be a part of the Private Equity EMEA Practice within our client's Sustainability Business division, which is not only one of the fastest-growing, innovative, and dynamic teams within the Group but also the leading organization within the Sustainability global marketplace.

Reporting to the Head of Private Equity Sustainability Business, EMEA, this is a newly created role, aiming to deepen the Sustainability consulting capabilities and position a best-in-class ESG & Sustainability advisory proposition for the Private Equity client segment.

Location: Home-office based (Europe)

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the client service team.

  • Ensure that everybody within the wider team is aware of roles and responsibilities.

  • Ensure timely project delivery within budget to clients' full satisfaction.

  • Responsible for providing high-quality work deliverables for existing clients.

  • Function as the main point of contact between PE client's wider ESG team, portfolio companies and relevant internal teams.

  • Full responsibility for management and coverage of PE portfolio companies (i.e., with scope on vertical pull-through penetration)

  • Establish strong relationships with clients, understand needs, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Responsible for overall project management, including the development of project plans and progress tracking to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

  • Manage d2d client meetings framework, including the number of meetings, agendas, steering committees etc.

  • Definition of clear escalation framework/ mechanism; function as a 1st-level escalation point, including identifying and managing risks, early warning system, and countermeasures (if applicable).

  • Develop and mentor consulting teams while providing guidance and support to grow skills/ expertise.

  • Responsible for vertical and horizontal account expansion, I.e., identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals for new/ follow-on engagements with existing account/ supper strategic account development).

  • Participate in thought leadership and knowledge-sharing activities.

About you:

  • University degree in finance, business, economics, sustainability, environmental sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of consulting and/or consultative selling experience and an interest in pursuing a career in Sustainability & ESG.

  • Experience in working directly or indirectly in an investor environment, with sound knowledge of regulations and industry drivers. Having exposure to private equity and portfolio management activities would be highly appreciated.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in developing, managing, and executing client solutions.

  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally, complex analysis and ideas in a concise manner. Additional languages will be welcome.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on multiple complex projects in diverse areas.

  • Understanding and network of contacts in the large-cap and mid-market private equity industry.
