Acre is partnered with a prominent Long Duration Energy Storage business looking to identify a seasoned Originator. Reporting directly into the CCO, the VP, Origination & International Growth will spearhead the expansion of their relationships within the large industrial arena in North America, whilst leading international origination strategy focused on EMEA.

The client already has multiple large-scale PPAs executed in North America and Internationally, alongside being financially backed by one of the world's largest PE Investment Firms. This opportunity provides a unique chance to enter the critical LDES sector with one of the world's leading pioneers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop market entry strategy for Mining, Industrial, and Hydrogen owners with a strong technical handle on how the client's LDES fits into these businesses

  • Manage relationships with Mining, Industrial, and Hydrogen companies and corporate off-takers to create opportunities

  • Manage offtake contract processes and negotiations as required to create revenue-generating opportunities (PPA, VPPA, ESA, EPC/Direct Sale)

  • Lead the assessment of suitability of international markets for company expansions, including; regulatory suitability, revenue potential, contracting potential, and political factors

  • Work with CCO to develop international market entry strategy and lead offtake negotiations

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 Years of business development and origination experience in North American Power Markets, preferably Utility-Scale applications

  • Large Industrial (Mining, Hydrogen, Industrial) Origination experience highly preferred

  • Experience in researching new markets, along with establishing strong relationships with new partners

  • Proven experience with offtake agreements (PPAs, VPPAs mandatory)
