The UKSIF CEO Remit
Your scope of activity as the new Chief Executive Officer will be broad and challenging, including managing the evolution of UKSIF’s next strategic plan and the team resources needed.
UKSIF's vision is a fair, inclusive and sustainable financial system that works for the benefit of society and the environment. The mission is to support their members in growing sustainable and responsible finance in the UK. A Well Established Organisation
Since they were founded in 1991, the UKSIF and their members have contributed significantly to the substantial growth in UK sustainable investment and finance. UKSIF is an active member of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance and their work includes periodic collaboration with other similar organisations, such as other national ‘SIFs’, with the aim of helping to facilitate the international expansion of sustainable investment and finance.

Growing Membership Numbers
There are over 240 members of the UKSIF, including asset managers, banks and building societies, pension funds, investment consultants, data providers and financial advisers. With recent regulatory changes and fast-growing public interest, sustainable finance has moved to the heart of financial services development.

What Will You Need To Succeed?
Increased public, political and regulatory interest is boosting sustainable investment and finance, however current challenges include critique linked to greenwashing, and questions re. the extent of the positive impact being delivered by the financial services sector.
You will need to be comfortable leading change in this environment, and in addition to the track record and characteristics desired, will have a belief in the capacity and willingness of UK financial services to change, integrity, a willingness to challenge the market and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
