Acre has partnered with a leading and dynamic agriculture business that is heavily committed to creating the right impact; having set their Science Based Targets, the company is already ahead of the curve.
This role will support the existing ESG team and you will be the 'go-to' person for all things carbon and ESG reporting- analysis, tracking, and data.
You will be responsible for:
Accounting carbon across the business, analysing it, and using it to support decisions in the team across net-zero targets, scope three impacts, and the carbon reduction strategy. You enjoy being the technical specialist, engaging people about the carbon data and working with stakeholders to improve ESG performance. This could range from internal stakeholders to external clients or partners, as well as customers.
Collaborating closely with the in-house analytics and business intelligence teams to accelerate improvements, gain insights into the supply chain, and drive overall performance.
Horizon scanning for emerging carbon-related policies or frameworks which could impact the organisation and advising on how best to implement or react to these. The team prides itself on their excellent sustainability levels and seeks to continue this approach.
To thrive in this role, you will be already comfortable partnering with a range of internal teams, such as finance, ESG, supply chain, and commercial, but also with the extra layer of external commitments to suppliers and customers.
This role is an essential and exciting new addition to the team. To succeed in this position, you already have the following skillset or attributes:
A track record or demonstrated interest in embedding carbon into decision-making in an organisation. You will be integrating carbon and reporting processes into business meetings, target settings, and overall strategy, which requires an accounting, finance, or carbon data skillset.
A data-savvy outlook. You can analyse, interpret and present carbon and business data and able to convert this into tangible and digestible insights to a range of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills; you will be managing a range of diverse personalities and relationships in a large and growing organisation! Combined with this, you will be an internal influence in commercial and strategic decision-making, so your presentation of carbon data is essential to get right in this role!
This role is based in Cambridgeshire, on a hybrid working basis.
