Acre is working with Finlays, the leading B2B tea, coffee, and botanical solutions supplier to strengthen their sustainability team.

In this role, you will help drive Finlays strategy by delivering the carbon emission reduction programme and providing advice and guidance on how to successfully decarbonise their business model.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing Finlays climate strategy in accordance with science-based targets, assessing progress continually, and providing updates at the group level.

  • Assessing both direct and indirect operations, providing technical expertise, and creating solutions where needed.

  • Being a carbon expert, answering technical questions related to reporting, standards, benchmarks, and scopes 1,2,3.

  • Analysis of carbon product footprints, you will develop a footprint analysis and create a reduction roadmap.

  • Ensuring carbon data quality is high and contributing it to all reports and performance monitoring, with an eye for detail to notice areas of improvement or potential gaps.

As a Climate Change Manager, you will be working collaboratively across functions and geographies and will be engaging stakeholders at all levels, championing actions against climate change.

To succeed in this role, you will already have:

  • Strong carbon, audit, and advisory reporting experience. You will already know how to deliver reporting protocols, training, GHG protocol, net-zero frameworks, and carbon neutrality roadmaps.

  • Relevant education background ideally focused on a sustainability-related discipline, such as Engineering, Agro-Science, or Geography.

  • Robust understanding of assessment methods such as carbon footprinting, LCA, and risk assessments such as TCFD.

  • Passion to influence a global project, through managing and developing and a motivation to work in a leading sustainable company.

  • The ability to recognise commercial or financial risks, as well as communicate the commercial benefits of the carbon reduction programme.
