Are you looking for an opportunity to design, develop and implement a sustainability strategy for a global business?

Acre is partnering with a global manufacturer supplying the energy sector and they are looking to hire their first ESG Manager to set the foundation and objectives around sustainability. You will be dynamic and engaging, with broad sustainability knowledge and experience to lead on strategy, implementation, reporting and engagement.

This is a global role, working across sites in the UK, US, China, India, Australia and Singapore. You will report directly to the CFO and build a network of ESG champions through the organisation.

In this role, you will be:

  • Developing the sustainability strategy by aligning with the company's existing goals and industry best practice

  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders; employees, customers, and communities to drive sustainability

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant ESG regulations and reporting requirements, staying abreast of changes in legislation across the countries in which they operate

  • Overseeing the preparation and publication of ESG reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency

  • Leading the development and execution of social impact programs focusing on DE&I and community engagement

  • Monitoring and enhancing ethical and sustainable practices within the supply chain by collaborating with procurement teams and suppliers

This role will suit someone eager to create sustainable change for an organisation and their suppliers and customers. The initial focus will be on decarbonisation of scope 1 and 2, developing into a broader ESG strategy role with time.

You will bring:

  • Knowledge of carbon reporting and environmental data to get the organisation up and running on their reporting

  • A collaborative nature in order to work with internal and external stakeholders to successfully engage them on sustainability

  • The right drive and determination to effectively embed the ESG strategy across the global business

  • A proactive approach with the ability to project manage and deliver complex projects in a timely manner

  • Experience having worked in the field of ESG or sustainability

If successful, this role will create a lasting positive impact on the organisation and also the energy sector as a whole by influencing and driving sustainable change for them and their supply chain.
