Acre is delighted to be working with a fast-growing UK green hydrogen energy company, with some of the leading global voices in the emerging green hydrogen market on their team.

As part of their ongoing growth and success developing sustainable energy projects for UK clients to help them achieve their net zero emissions targets, Acre's client is now looking for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for managing all core finance activities and maintaining strong financial control and governance.

Reporting directly into the CEO and working closely with senior management, the Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the central company budget as well as individual projects budgets, reconciling and challenging discrepancies with actuals.

  • Monitoring and maintaining short and medium-term company cashflow.

  • Working closely with bookkeepers to manage, approve, and process invoices.

  • Working with outsourced accountants on all areas of compliance, including year-end audit, tax and statutory accounts.

As the Financial Controller, you will be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment, as well as confident to put your ideas forward and challenge if required. You will also have:

  • ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience in maintaining sound financial practice within a growing organisation.

  • Experience with Xero is desirable.

  • Experience with SPVs and consolidating reporting is desirable.

  • Experience in renewable energy companies would be a significant bonus.

If you're an experienced Financial Controller who is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join a business where you can contribute towards supporting businesses to reach net zero emissions.
