Aggreko, one of the global leaders in power and temperature rental solutions, is looking for a General Manager for North Asia to help drive developments in their strategies, deliver against operational targets, and be an integral part of the leadership team.

This exciting role is responsible for leading the North Asia business with industrial revenues of $20m operated in countries/areas by 50 staff. Additionally, this role will drive the business's profitability and build sustainable growth by effectively managing the team across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance

      • Create a positive safety culture where each employee is actively committed and accountable to maintaining a safe working environment for colleagues and customers and for compliance with Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and local legislation

      • Rigorous adherence to Aggreko's corporate ethics policies and lead by example

  • Business Development

      • Drive business to profitably serve current and new contracts with existing customers in Utility

      • Support the sales leadership in developing sector focus of sales team and develop or expand to new sectors to diversify portfolio such as Shipyard, Mining, O&G, Petrochemical, Data Center and large industrial customers

      • Develop, implement and achieve annual budgets and business plans to develop the market and secure market leadership for Aggreko

  • Business Leadership

      • Drive cost control and cost discipline to efficiently deliver against targets

      • Develop working practices, ways of working and tools to drive effective business execution

      • Comply with Risk Management Policy and management of contracts regarding payments, assets and people

      • Ensure that the invoicing and collection of payments is completed accurately and on time

  • People leadership and building an effective team

      • Grow an environment where individuals are developed and engaged to deliver full value to the business

      • Establish and develop a high-performing team across all functions

      • Create and foster accountability and sense of ownership across all functions

      • Act as the Champion to promote the culture of "Always of Orange"

      • Liaise closely with colleagues within and outside the region to effectively share and transfer knowledge, expertise and fleet between location to achieve best Aggreko practices

  • Any other duties considered essential for effective operations & services to customers

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in managing business and team development, including in a senior management role with P&L responsibility, working in a multinational environment

  • Ability to optimise business processes and drive cost control

  • Ability to motivate and coach individuals, bring the best out of the team

  • Ability to approach change processes with emotional maturity and sensitivity

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
