A recently launched global sustainability strategy, Planet, sets to minimize Grünenthal's impact on the environment with a roadmap to use resources sustainably and a significant reduction in waste production.
Your most important responsibilities will be:
Lead and support global sustainability projects to drive progress and achieve strategic ambitions and goals related to carbon neutrality, waste reduction and water quality.
Support production sites in implementing technical sustainability initiatives.
Generate new project ideas and provide recommendations and technical expertise which can contribute to the global sustainability strategy.
Support achievement of Key Performance Measures (KPIs) and continually identify opportunities for improvement.
Support global businesses in defining their sustainability targets and creating visible, accountable plans to achieve them.
Who you are and what you have done:
A strong background in environmental management at a production site level, with specific expertise in waste and water management.
Strong technical expertise in running environmental projects in a highly regulated environment.
A great communicator that can easily work in a complex matrix environment.
Innovatively minded and able to quickly understand complicated technical concepts and production processes.
Good business sense and the ability to connect sustainability outcomes to concrete business results.
A high level of commitment and a structured and independent way of thinking combined with analytical thinking, team spirit and service orientation.
