A recently launched global sustainability strategy, Planet, sets to minimize Grünenthal's impact on the environment with a roadmap to use resources sustainably and a significant reduction in waste production.

Your most important responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and support global sustainability projects to drive progress and achieve strategic ambitions and goals related to carbon neutrality, waste reduction and water quality.

  • Support production sites in implementing technical sustainability initiatives.

  • Generate new project ideas and provide recommendations and technical expertise which can contribute to the global sustainability strategy.

  • Support achievement of Key Performance Measures (KPIs) and continually identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Support global businesses in defining their sustainability targets and creating visible, accountable plans to achieve them.

Who you are and what you have done:

  • A strong background in environmental management at a production site level, with specific expertise in waste and water management.

  • Strong technical expertise in running environmental projects in a highly regulated environment.

  • A great communicator that can easily work in a complex matrix environment.

  • Innovatively minded and able to quickly understand complicated technical concepts and production processes.

  • Good business sense and the ability to connect sustainability outcomes to concrete business results.

  • A high level of commitment and a structured and independent way of thinking combined with analytical thinking, team spirit and service orientation.
