We are currently supporting an Asset Manager with £50bn in assets under management in their search for an Equities Analyst to join their Global Sustainable Equity fund team. The successful individual will work closely with the portfolio manager of the strategy that invests in companies leading the transition to a more sustainable world. There is a clear pathway of progression in this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Generate investment ideas by:
o Researching Companies, meeting brokers and sector analysts
o Using external research and quantitative systems
Analyse all stakeholders in the investment framework and monitor performance including in environmental and social terms
Review performance of existing companies in the portfolio and monitor holdings
Conduct preliminary meetings with companies to extract sufficient information to make recommendations to the Fund Manager
Complete bespoke quantitative and qualitative research and financial modelling on companies, sectors or themes relating to the Fund Manager's investment process
In conjunction with the Fund Manager regularly review portfolio valuations including reconciliations
Advising on voting proxies for companies in the portfolio
Contribute to the analysis, evidencing and delivery of the Annual Impact Report
Ad hoc projects such as supporting portfolio administration, preparation for client presentations and proposals
Requirements:
Evidence of strong analytical ability and fundamental research skills, with ideally 4+ years experience in investment research
Strong financial analysis, valuation, ESG and modelling skills
A genuine and demonstrable interest in sustainable investment
Impact Reporting experience desirable
Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
IMC/CFA or willingness to undertake
