Acre is working with a leading UK financial services business, which is looking for an Interim ESG Reporting and Disclosures Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering ESG disclosure and reporting across the group.
In this role, you will be expected to take the lead in achieving a long-term sustainable business through your understanding of TCFD, GRI, climate-related disclosures, and finance reports such as UNPRB.
What you will be doing:
Lead preparation of ESG, finance climate-related disclosures for the group, specifically TCFD
Coordinate reporting governance activities aligned to internal regimes and frameworks
Plan meetings with key stakeholders to update them on key ESG progress and coordinate with the financial reporting team to confirm deadlines and data integrity
Work closely with the carbon lead to obtain key data for reports
Ensure alignment of external reporting with both regulatory expectations and sustainability reporting best practices (i.e. Global Reporting Initiative standards)
Undertake ESG and climate-related regulatory horizon-scanning and share upcoming requirements and market developments with the Climate Change Risk Forum on a quarterly basis (or sooner, as required)
Engage third-party auditors to undertake Assurance Readiness Assessment of the production of financed greenhouse gas emissions
Engage with specialist external counsel to develop suitable disclaimers for inclusion in the GRBR
Experience required:
A corporate background in auditing ESG disclosures, specifically TCFD
Working knowledge of financial principles such as the UN Principles for Responsible Banking annual report
Experience of TCFD, GRI, SECR and annual report writing
