This organisation has been at the forefront of climate action for over three decades, consistently setting ambitious Net Zero targets encompassing its operations, supply chain, and customer emissions. With the growing prominence of climate change mitigation on the societal agenda, the organisation is experiencing a heightened demand for enhanced environmental reporting capabilities. These capabilities are critical for identifying and quantifying climate risks and opportunities, tracking and reporting on climate performance, and fostering engagement with both external and internal stakeholders on climate change initiatives.

Currently, they are tasked to bring aboard a TCFD Manager for a 9-month contract, marking an exciting juncture to become part of this influential organisation

Key Responsibilities:

  • This fixed-term 9-month role is designed to propel our comprehension of climate-related risks and opportunities and spur proactive responses

  • The role will take the lead in developing and producing the Group's TCFD disclosure for FY24, in addition to addressing the increasing regulatory reporting demands

  • Specific tasks may encompass the identification of climate risks and opportunities, data collection, analysis, report production, and preparations for the audit of the Group's FY24 TCFD disclosure

  • The TCFD Manager will also offer support to the broader team in the realm of sustainability reporting, which includes, but is not limited to, Climate Transition Plans, TNFD, and CDP reporting

  • This position will be integrated into the Group Sustainability team within the Corporate Affairs Department

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field

  • Relevant professional experience, preferably gained within a multinational corporation and/or a reputable consultancy

  • Experience in conducting or leading climate TCFD assessments for large or publicly listed organisations

  • Demonstrated proficiency in comprehending the TCFD recommendations and mandatory requirements, spanning governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics & targets

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, enabling the effective explanation of climate risks, impacts, solutions, and the provision of recommendations to senior stakeholders and colleagues

  • Ability to thrive in a complex, matrixed organisation
