We are currently supporting a leading multistage VC seeking a new Investment Principal to join its deep tech fund (AuM £400m+).

Our client has been investing in transformational businesses within the climate tech space in Europe and the US (seed to series C) for over five years. The successful hire will possess a strong technical background and join its team in London.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the investment process for sourcing to deal with competition.

  • Conduct in-depth market research to support the creation of new investments across the climate tech space.

  • Source and assess new investment opportunities for the fund.

  • Lead technical, market and commercial due diligence on transactions.

  • Support portfolio company executives and track their performance.

  • Leverage the firm's network of academics and industry experts to the benefit of the firm and its' portfolio.

Requirements:

  • A demonstrable passion and interest in deeptech/climatetech. Experience sourcing and executing investments at seed to series c stage.

  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills from either investment banking or consulting experience.

  • Excellent academics and technical background, likely with an MSc or PhD in a STEM subject or related technical field.
