Our client is a leading private equity firm specializing in energy transition and innovation, boasting assets under management (AuM) reaching €6 billion and a successful 20-year track record.
As an Investor Relations Principal, you'll integrate a team of four seasoned professionals with a remarkable track record in capital-raising achievements across all firm strategies. Your primary responsibility will be spearheading fundraising and business development initiatives, targeting tier 2 and tier 3 LPs institutional investors, and family offices/private wealth investors in France, with potential for expansion into southern Europe. This newly created role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and execute the firm's capital-raising strategy for all its funds. Location: Paris with domestic travel required.
Reporting to: 2x Partners Co-heading the IR team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the fundraising strategy to increase and diversify the French investor base across the business' different product offerings, including Venture Capital, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Co-investments.

Research the broader private equity and impact marketplace to identify potential investors, assess their suitability, and drive engagement.
Identify and help implement prerequisites for a successful go-to-market approach, events, distribution channels, multipliers and other gatekeepers
Organize fundraising meetings and prepare leadership for investor meetings, ensuring systematic tracking of engagement, meeting notes, and follow-up actions.
Coordinate due diligence events, managing logistics, communicating with investors, and briefing leadership while contributing to the development of materials.
Drive continuous improvement of operational processes, maintaining systematic engagement with investors through CRM management and production of regular dashboard outputs.
Contribute to developing a marketing strategy, including customer journey design and updating marketing materials.
Key Requirements:
The organisation is looking for a self-driven sales professional with a strong track record of selling financial services and products in the French market, preferably in private markets products. The ideal candidate should have a strong network in the French market across the mid-market, covering notably tier 2 and tier 3 institutional LPs, and family offices, wealth management platforms and private banks, coupled with top-level sales experience, a client-centric mindset, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
You should also possess the following skills and competencies:
Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related business field is required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in Investor Relations/Distribution, in either Private Equity, asset/wealth management, banking, or consulting.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a keen attention to detail. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, coupled with a high level of self-motivation, a
results-driven approach, and a hands-on mentality.
Ability to analyse information and present compelling arguments, quickly grasping and effectively communicating concepts to diverse audiences.
Central to the role is the ability to communicate effectively with investors and internal teams, both in written and verbal mediums. Must demonstrate the capability to engage with senior executives at institutional investors and understand their strategic imperatives.
Experience in sales processes within financial services/private equity, including identifying prospects, building a sales pipeline, and tailoring sales propositions.
A strong focus on understanding stakeholder needs, both external investors and internal team members, within the context of Investor Relations.
Solid financial background with a robust understanding of private equity fund structuring, terms, fund performance metrics, and portfolio financials critical to the role.
Fluent proficiency in both French and English languages is required.
