Acre is collaborating with an exciting startup, set to disrupt the market with innovative solutions and a fresh approach, who are looking for a Project Development Director to join their growing team. Join them on this journey, leading the charge in transforming the world through nature-based carbon projects.

In this role, you will be:

  • Collaborating with a dynamic team and key stakeholders to evaluate projects' feasibility and their positive environmental impact.

  • Strategising and executing plans to transform identified projects into impactful CDR initiatives, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of sustainability.

  • Overseeing the meticulous Project Design Document process, guiding projects through industry regulations and environmental standards with finesse.

  • Developing and executing strategic plans to scale project development efforts and ensure positive environmental outcomes.

As a direct owner and operator of its projects, they sell carbon credits in international voluntary carbon markets, which fills a crucial gap for companies striving to achieve their Net Zero goals, especially when immediate large-scale emission reductions are challenging.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in nature-based project development, driven by sustainability and environmental consciousness.

  • A solid understanding of sustainable practices and unwavering commitment to Carbon Done Right principles.

  • Demonstrated success in transforming and validating large-scale projects with tangible environmental benefits.

  • Exceptional project management skills and organizational prowess.

  • Stellar communication and negotiation abilities, catering to a diverse array of stakeholders.

The leadership team brings decades of experience in the carbon and resource sectors, having served as advisors to the Canadian federal government, UNEP, and the British Government, taking the front seats to drive real change.
