A global research and consulting firm that works on behalf of retail and institutional investment management firms is seeking a Research Analyst to join their London office. The firm helps understand investment decisions and provides asset and wealth management firms with insight reports to aid commercial decision-making.

The role will offer exposure across both Retail and Institutional investors, where you will research product development strategies, distribution trends, regulatory changes and the impact and challenges on the industry.

You will contribute to projects using a blend of industry knowledge, original research, data analysis, and qualitative and quantitative methods to bring perspective to current and new market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to writing research content related to the asset management industry on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis on key themes

  • Conduct ongoing qualitative and quantitative research methods and collaborate with research analysts to oversee surveys and chart results

  • Develop new analysis to expand the firm's exclusive research

  • Build and develop relationships with asset managers, financial institutions, third-party vendors, government agencies

Key Experience:

  • Experience in a Research or Analytical role

  • Understanding of Institutional and Retail asset management industry

  • In-depth and detailed knowledge of various asset classes, mutual funds, ETFs etc.

  • Proven analysis and written skills

  • Ability to create data, identify long-term trends, and provide commentary on relevant industry issues

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data manipulation

  • Knowledge or familiarity with Broadridge and Morningstar databases is a plus
