At Little Moons, good business means being good to both people and our wonderful planet. This unique and innovative frozen and chilled mochi business has made strides in living up to this belief, and is now looking to up the pace, with the hire of a Sustainability Manager.

With commitments across both social and environmental topics and a B-Corp transition underway, Little Moons has plenty for you to get involved with. In this newly created role, you will be a passionate yet adaptable leader, balancing research with action and delivering goals. So- what does this look like on a day-to-day basis?

  • Ownership of the B-Corp certification process and responsible sourcing Programme. This includes target setting, plan management, and linking short term goals up to the longer-term Sustainability agenda.

  • Tracking, and reporting sustainability KPI's and then engaging with the business internally about these and getting involved with the external sharing of Little Moon's sustainability journey.

  • Having an eye for detail and thinking innovatively for solutions for all the key ingredients, and collaborating with experts in agroecology, low carbon farming, and creating sustainable solutions.

  • Horizon scanning for relevant and emerging changes in social and environmental legislation, practices, topics and thought leaderships, and then promoting these internally if appropriate to continue further improvement in the Sustainability agenda.

Little Moons is a fast-growing and dynamic business, the nature of which means roles and responsibilities can change and grow quickly and at scale. This role will be best suited to someone who enjoys a collaborative and innovative environment, who wants to use their sustainability skills to really create impact. You also have the following:

  • Expertise of working in Sustainability already, with a thorough understanding of climate change and the contributions of the food industry.

  • Awareness of organisational carbon footprinting, supply chain life cycle assessment, responsible sourcing practices and a willingness to learn and adapt when needed.

  • The combination of technical capability and strong communication skills to then deliver the information to different audiences, internally and externally when needed- to create concise and compelling information.

  • Values in respect, honesty, and trust. Little Moons pride themselves on the culture and environment in their teams. To be engaged, you must feel included and valued, so Little Moons have built, and nurtured, a culture where inclusiveness is not a buzzword, but a way of being.

If this sounds like you, this is an opportunity to grow and evolve your role and responsibilities, and to develop your career at pace, in a truly unique, vibrant business. If you are interested and want to know more, please contact ruth.smith@acre.com, or apply.
