Acre is delighted to be working with a leading creative communications agency to find a Sustainability Strategist with experience in sustainability and ESG communications, and a strong track record in overseeing the delivery of a variety of strategy and communications projects and campaigns.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term client relationships by working in close collaboration with key client contacts, fostering trust and building credibility, as well as:

  • Applying critical and strategic thinking to provide insight and lead the client in understanding why the solution is good for their business.

  • Understanding clients internal political and organisational structure.

  • Demonstrating and continuing to develop sustainability and ESG expertise - stay up to date with best practice, legislation, standards, and trends in priority markets.

  • Writing creative briefs, supplying all relevant background information, and supporting creative translation of strategic advice.

  • Leading new business proposals and client projects briefs - synthesizing and communicating the client challenge and proposed solutions and working strategically and effectively with project teams.

This could be an excellent opportunity for you if you have a strong background in sustainability, including exposure to complex client challenges and ideally a sustainability qualification.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); effective and confident presenter.

  • Client impact: Driving the highest standard of work for clients at all times and develops client relationships beyond a project basis where possible and being the first touch point for the client in all matters.

  • Strategic thinking: Offer sound strategic advice based on an understanding of the clients, business, and industry; and knowledge of current and emerging sustainability and ESG trends.

  • Collaboration & Leadership: Lead by example, is seen to be delivering, works collaboratively with others and actively promotes shared learning.

  • Networking: Had a developed and active network of sustainability professionals and experts.
