EG Group is one of the world's leading independent convenience retailers, with a network of sites and over 3.5 million customers daily. With locations across UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia, and the USA, their supply chain is extensive. EG Group is now seeking to grow its sustainability team further with the new addition of a Sustainability Data Manager.

If you are data-driven and have experience in sustainability or ESG, this could be an ideal role for you.

In this role, you will be:

  • Project managing the collation, delivery, and management of ESG data across the EG Group for use in annual reports, sustainability reports, website, investor indices, and communications. You will be liaising with internal stakeholders in this process, as well as engaging externally with specialists.

  • Taking a critical eye to the data across the group with the aim of improving the quality and availability of key ESG and Sustainability datasets. You will be the 'go-to' person for any issues or queries related to the data in this space on both environmental and social elements.

  • Researching and keeping up to speed with the latest trends in sustainability to help position EG Group as a market leader in this space. You will also be supporting the Head of Sustainability with ongoing strategy development.

EG Group is built upon excellent relationships and a portfolio of leading convenience retail brands. Currently, in a phase of up-scaling and growth, EG Group is delivering sustainability initiatives that impact communities, infrastructure, and systems to benefit all.

You already have:

  • A passion for sustainability and experience with data, having covered environmental or social topics.

  • Confidence to lead projects and influence where necessary whilst working in a team and collaborative environment.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment while also maintaining strong organisation and prioritisation skills

This role is based in the EG Group global head office based in Blackburn, and there is an expectation of being in 4 days a week.

If you feel motivated by the opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation and be involved in their developing sustainability strategy, apply here or contact ruth.smith@acre.com with any questions.
