Acre is supporting the recruitment of an ESG Associate for a European generalist private equity firm. Renowned for its approach to ESG and responsible investment, the firm has committed to a Science-Based Target aimed at reducing portfolio emissions by 2030. As part of its continued ambition to maintain a best-in-class approach to sustainability and responsible investment, the firm is looking to hire an additional ESG Associate to join its team.

Based in the firm's London office and sitting closely with the Investment team, the Associate will play a crucial part in supporting sustainability initiatives across both company and portfolio levels. The successful candidate will receive valuable mentorship from the team's UK Sustainability Director, gaining exposure to diverse projects spanning circular economy, climate action, and diversity & inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring portfolio companies' sustainability programs

  • Support portfolio companies in meeting the fund's ESG requirements and developing sustainability strategies & action plans

  • Contribute to enhancing ESG integration processes and reporting

  • Aid in preparing internal reports on portfolio sustainability performance

Experience & Competencies Sought:

  • University degree in sustainability-related subjects

  • 2-3 years experience in consultancy or corporate ESG roles

  • Fluency in English

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Organizational rigour and flexibility

  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
