Our client, a European bank, is a recognised leader in responsible banking and has committed to reaching NetZero by 2040 and has set ambitious sustainability goals. As the Sustainable Finance Manager, you will be driving the bank's sustainable finance strategy, collaborating with various parts of the bank while also representing the bank externally.
You will be responsible for:
Overseeing and coordinating the development of a customer-led sustainable finance approach
Developing metrics to track and steer the progress of sustainable finance initiatives
Represent the bank in external green finance forums and manage relationships
Guide colleagues on market developments and best practice
Provide support to the branches on sustainable finance, e.g. customer business
Guide on regulatory and stakeholder risks and opportunities
Work closely with the group and other markets to capitalise on good practice
Contribute to the bank's sustainability reporting and disclosures
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Deep expertise and knowledge about the sustainable finance principles and trends in UK and Europe
Experience in working at a strategic and operational level in a decentralised organisation
Strong in stakeholder management, internally and externally; experienced in coordinating across multiple functions
