Are you a highly organised and well-connected professional passionate about sustainable business transformation in the fashion and textile industry?

The Fashion Pact is a global coalition of 70+ companies in the fashion and textile sector that has committed to utilising the power of the collective to accelerate change in three environmental areas: climate, biodiversity, and oceans. Uniquely, The Fashion Pact is a CEO-led, action-based non-profit organisation funded by its members, leveraging joint action to achieve and scale impact.

The Fashion Pact has grown by 200% in the past two years, creating a community of over 200 brands representing one-third of the global fashion industry. As the joint actions of The Fashion Pact are highly complex multi-stakeholder projects involving multiple members, technical experts, as well as legal and accounting teams, the newly created Industry Transformation Manager will manage the timelines and deliverables of the joint actions across all pillars, ensuring that the actions are set-up for scalable impact.

Reporting to the Project Lead of The Fashion Pact and working in close collaboration with the content team, the Industry Transformation Manager will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure tracking of all existing sustainability projects at The Fashion Pact and provide overviews to avoid duplication

  • Support identification of the actions needed to reach the tipping point to achieve and scale impact relating to The Fashion Pact targets

  • Identify the business case for Joint Actions and how different actions relate to the overall mission and vision of The Fashion Pact

  • Support the Project Lead in defining project scope, expectations (based on first technical assessment and constraints), stakeholder maps and project plan

  • Support in managing any changes to roadmaps and proactively suggest any issues that may arise with a collaborative approach (i.e. anti-trust, multi-stakeholder conflicts, timing delays etc.)

  • Ensure that projects are steered towards industry transformation and advance from the pilot phase

Based on your several years of experience, you have a good understanding and the ability to keep the big picture in mind and advise, support, and drive your close stakeholders to make the system transition successful, aligned with the strategic direction of The Fashion Pact.

To thrive and be successful in an impact-driven non-profit in the start-up phase, you'll have the following:

  • Several years of experience acquired in management consulting or in strategic project management in the fashion sector

  • Demonstrable experience in systems change and transformation in a multi-stakeholder setting

  • Deep understanding of sustainability topics and the fashion sector, and the key stakeholders

  • Overview of key stakeholders in the sustainability and fashion landscape

  • Ability to work in a multifunctional environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Pragmatic, proactive, able to show initiative and critical thinking; driven by results

  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills

This is a unique opportunity with a ground-breaking coalition working towards an entire sector transformation in sustainability. If you want to join a nimble and close-knit team offering incredible exposure, please apply below or contact Liam Goldsworthy at liam.goldsworthy@acre.com.
