As Chanel accelerates its sustainable business transformation journey, Acre is supporting with a newly created and key Senior Manager, Sustainability - CSRD Programme management hire, to be at the core of Chanel's house Sustainability ambitions by leading a robust sustainability reporting readiness programme, meeting standards set by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as well as the International Sustainability Standard Board (ISSB) and the UK Transition Plan.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Performance, you will play a critical role engaging across Chanel's matrix structure, including at C-suite levels, to develop and deliver a best practice sustainability reporting programme that meets the House's ambitious sustainability commitments as well as external requirements.

Your impact at Chanel:

  • Project manage the design, delivery, and monitoring of a comprehensive and progressive roadmap to implement a full target sustainability reporting programme.

  • Engage key stakeholders across the Chanel business, including other senior stakeholders in corporate departments (e.g. legal, HR, sustainability, IT, Finance), as well as expansive regional and divisional teams.

  • Deliver a gap analysis of ESG regulatory quantitative indicators (ISSB, ESRS, UK transition plan) and ensure harmonisation with House Sustainability ambitions.

  • Implement monitoring procedures to ensure the delivery of ESG performance through participation in setting priorities, ensuring targets and KPIs are in place, as well as other internal processes.

  • Communicate and provide regular progress updates to internal stakeholders on milestones and progress.

With robust experience in sustainability reporting and transversal project management, either from a consulting or in-house setting, you will have the ability to influence and shape transformation across a complex but committed matrix organisation at Chanel.

What you will leverage:

  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the emotional intelligence to engage across global teams and cultures.

  • Proven large-scale project management experience, ideally in sustainable transformation or change management contexts.

  • Previous experience working with or for large publicly listed corporates, ideally those in luxury goods.

  • Ability to get granular and be detail orientated as well as zooming out at a big picture level.

  • An understanding and exposure to relevant sustainability reporting standards, regulations and associated external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesise detail and build narratives for stakeholder engagement.

  • French language skills not essential but highly advantageous.
